Pay rates are pursuant to a collective bargaining agreement with
the I.C.M.D.A. and vary on location and trips that are being pulled.

In the Chicago area pay is hourly with a $18.98 base and $3.15
added for health and pension benefits. You are also paid for ten holiday's a
year, which $.84 is added for holiday monies.

Cincinnati area rate is $17.64 base with $3.92 for health, pension,
and holiday monies.

Central region rate is $16.73 base with $3.92 health, pension, and
holiday monies. Benefit monies in all areas are limited to 80 hours bi-
weekly, all worked hours are paid as straight time. All pay rates shown
here are for tractor trailer drivers. In the Chicago area there are a limited
number of straight truck runs , call for rates and availability of openings.

Hartwig Transit operates mostly day cabs from Peterbilt, Volvo, and

Hartwig offers group health plans and a 401k. Direct deposit,
Cafeteria plan, Credit union, and AFLAC insurance is also available. The
union ( Independent Contract Mail Driver's Association ) offers a dental
programs and $ 200 every two years for vision exam or glasses.
